Dr.Sarita Devi ,Hegal Dialectical MethodHegel's Dialectical Method:

To understand Hegel's concept that the state is a symbol of the 'World Spirit' and that 'the rational is the real and the real is the rational,' we must understand Hegel's 'dialectics.' According to Hegel, human reason is not static; it is dynamic. Its progress is always 'dialectical'; that is, it consists of three stages:

(1) Thesis, (2) Antithesis, (3) Synthesis. This means that an idea arises in the human mind, and many supporting ideas are generated, gradually taking the form of a 'thesis.' After some time, certain flaws become apparent in this 'thesis,' and it generates its own contradiction; thus, the 'antithesis' emerges victorious. Finally, due to the conflict between the 'thesis' and the 'antithesis' in the mind, a third element arises, which Hegel called the 'synthesis.' The characteristic of the 'synthesis' is that it incorporates the qualities of both the 'thesis' and the 'antithesis' and is superior to both. However, in time, this 'synthesis' itself takes the form of a 'thesis,' and then, as before, its antithetical reaction begins.
